Phonix Racing: Olin College SAE Mini-baja Team
Phoenix Racing is Olin College's Mini-Baja Racing Team. Throughout the school year, we design and build an off-road racing vehicle and attend competitions in the region where the car's capabilities are put to the test.
Below you will find a summary of my different roles on the team:
Subteam Leader, Drivetrain Subteam - Fall 2013 - Spring 2014
During this 1 year period, the subteam focused on examining key components of the drivetrain and determining if they could be improved. These key components included the differential as well as the chainbox housing design and the CVT Gaurding.

Member, Drivetrain Subteam - Fall 2012 and Spring 2013
During this 1 year period, the team took on the mammoth task of designing a new car from scratch to replace the aging 2011-2012 car. I was involved in designing the new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gaurding. I also worked with another member of the subteam to design a testrig to allow testing and tuning of the CVT without requiring a running car.
